Welcome
I am a dedicated educator, researcher, and leader committed to fostering student success and academic excellence, with a dynamic career spanning K-12 and higher education. My passion for teaching and learning is reflected in my extensive experience instructing English literature and composition at the high school level in New Jersey, Florida, and Georgia. From 2018 to 2022, I also served as an adjunct instructor of freshman writing, equipping undergraduates with essential communication and critical thinking skills.
Beyond the classroom, I have played a pivotal role in shaping future educators by supervising pre-service secondary teacher interns in their clinical placements. My expertise extends into student services in higher education, where I have contributed as an Admissions Recruiter, an Academic Advisor for teacher education programs, and an Assistant Director of Enrollment Services—further demonstrating my commitment to educational access and student development.
Academically, I hold a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction, with a research focus on qualitative methodologies, constructivist grounded theory, and the intersection of masculinity, learner engagement, and literacy. Additionally, I earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in English Literature and Reading Education, and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Secondary Education. My interdisciplinary expertise highlights my dedication to advancing literacy, critical reflection, and transformative learning experiences for students and educators.
